Publication Ethics
1. Publication decisions
- Editors are responsible for selecting which articles submitted to a journal should be published
- Editors may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and limited by applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.
- The editor can consult with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.
2. Be Fair
- When evaluating a manuscript, an editor must act fairly without regard to the author's race, gender, ethnic origin, religious beliefs, nationality, or political perspective.
3. Confidential
- Editors or editorial staff are not permitted to provide or disseminate information regarding submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the author, reviewer, editorial advisor or publisher.
